Who We Are

Precision Contracting & Design is a licensed general contracting firm serving Fairfield County and the surrounding areas. We provide residential, commercial, and multifamily construction services with a focus on quality workmanship, careful planning, and doing the job right.

We believe construction should be more than a series of subcontractors passing a project from one trade to the next. Our approach is hands-on from the beginning. We manage the details, coordinate the work, and maintain direct oversight throughout the project so our clients have a clear point of contact and a team that takes responsibility for the finished product.

MEET THE OWNER

Jen Potokin

Precision was built from a genuine understanding of construction, not simply from the business side of the industry. Jen brings more than 25 years of hands-on construction experience to every project, with a background spanning carpentry, masonry, and plumbing. Her experience was built through real projects and working within the trades, not simply managing them from the sidelines.

Jen is a licensed general contractor in Connecticut and Florida, bringing a broad understanding of residential construction, renovation, and project management to her work. That breadth of experience gives Jen a unique perspective when it comes to coordinating complex projects and multiple trades. She understands how the work actually comes together because she has worked in the trades herself. When complex structural or construction questions arise on site, Jen has the practical knowledge to evaluate the situation, work through the details, and find the right solution.

As the owner of a contracting company, Jen remains directly involved in the projects Precision takes on. She works closely with clients, tradespeople, and design professionals to keep projects organized, communication clear, and expectations understood.

Being woman-owned is one part of who we are, but it is not what defines the work. What matters most is the experience behind it, the attention to detail, the ability to solve problems, and the commitment to stand behind the finished product.

Our goal is simple: to make the construction process as organized and transparent as possible while delivering work we are proud to put our name on.

We maintain a team of experienced professionals and skilled tradespeople, allowing us to keep much of the work and project coordination under our direct oversight. This gives us greater control over scheduling, workmanship, communication, and the many details that can make or break a construction project.

From smaller renovations and repairs to larger remodeling and construction projects, we approach every job with the same expectation: do it correctly, communicate throughout the process, and leave the property better than we found it.
